Sherwood Forest Probus Club

The Sherwood Forest Probus Club Logo - Retired Professional and Businessmens Club

The aim of the Sherwood Forest Probus Club is to give the opportunity for persons to develop new Friendships following their retirement. Usually people on retirement still feel active and mentally alert and Probus can help in the transitional period, often from a stressful full time profession.

The word PROBUS is an abbreviation of the words PROfessional and BUSiness but membership is not restricted to persons from these two groups. It embraces anyone who has had some measure of responsibility in any field and have interests in common with others and who have now have either totally or largely relinquished such responsibility.

Probus offers such persons the opportunity to meet socially with fellow members and to become more aware of the enthusiasms and interests of others from talks, often illustrated, by guest speakers.

The SHERWOOD FOREST PROBUS CLUB meets monthly on the first Thursday of each month at the South Forest Complex, Clipstone Road, Edwinstowe, the meetings commencing at 11.30 am, with a speaker and followed by lunch and usually a short business meeting. In addition, twice yearly club lunches are held and outings are arranged.

Sherwood Forest Probus Club is Looking for Members

We are offering anyone an added interest in your retirement and the opportunity to join a congenial social gathering from all walks of life. Why not give a try and come along as a guest – there is no obligation but if you have not been to see PROBUS, you are not really able to answer the question –
