We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to “Live independently at home” with dignity, freedom of choice and control over their lives regardless of frailty or individual need, to maximise their independence. Care and Comfort provides a service that does not discriminate in any way and its staff operate within an Equality and Diversity Policy.

The aims of the Care and Comfort Home Support charity are:

  • To enable clients to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
  • To support and comfort the client, giving peace of mind to relatives, carers and friends.
  • To support the client’s position in the community and personalise the level of support required.

Carers Support Service

Our Carer’s Support Service wants to help carer’s and the people they care for shape what services they require. A carer can be any age looking after a relative or friend and may not live in the same house as the person they care for.

This service aims to:

  • Encourage Carer’s to have a Carer’s Assessment and use personal budgets to improve their quality of life and health and well being.
  • To help and support carer’s to continue their caring role by introducing a carer support worker.
  • To provide whenever possible services and interventions for Carer’s and the people they care in their local communities i.e. Activity Friends

Community Outreach Service

The Community Outreach Service provide by Care and Comfort home support assists older people to access information, advice and service provision as well as more formal advocacy services.

The aim of the service is to provide short term task orientated intervention over an approximately 6 week period and follow up visits where required to ensure that actions are in place.
